care & use of our products

jar candles

  1. Place the jar candle on a heat resistant surface before lighting.

  2. The first time you light the candle burn it continuously until the wax melts to the edge of the jar to ensure that all the wax will be used every time. Soy wax has a memory and this prevents the candle from tunnelling.

  3. Do not use the lid to snuff the candle. Blow it out or use a wick snuffer then replace the lid once the smoke dissipates. If you use the lid to snuff the candle the fragrance can become tainted by the smell of the smoke.

  4. Before lighting the candle again trim by removing the bent, burnt, brittle part of the wick. The remaining part of the wick will be appropriately trimmed and ready to go.

  5. Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

  6. Do not move a lighted candle.

  7. Keep away from children, pets & drafts.

  8. Read the warning label on the underside of the candle before using.

  9. If you spill the wax, let it set and then lift it off. You can wash with warm water and a little dish washing liquid.

  10. Extreme environmental temperatures may cause melting.

  11. When you finish with the candle wash the jar in warm, soapy water to use as a container in your home.

  12. Do not ingest.

wooden wick candles

  1. Place the jar candle on a heat resistant surface before lighting.

  2. Lighting the candle with our new wood/cotton combination wick is a breeze. Simply light it as you would any candle.

  3. The first time you light the candle burn it continuously until the wax melts to the edge of the jar to ensure that all the wax will be used every time. Soy wax has a memory and this prevents the candle from tunnelling.

  4. Do not use the lid to snuff the candle. Blow it out or use a wick snuffer then replace the lid once the smoke dissipates. If you use the lid to snuff the candle the fragrance can become tainted by the smell of the smoke.

  5. There is no need to trim the wooden wick but you may need to break off the bent, burnt brittle part of the cotton wick as you would with any candle.

  6. Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

  7. Do not move a lighted candle.

  8. Keep away from children, pets & drafts.

  9. Read the warning label on the underside of the candle before using.

  10. If you spill the wax, let it set and then lift it off. You can wash with warm water and a little dish washing liquid.

  11. Extreme environmental temperatures may cause melting.

  12. When you finish with the candle wash the jar in warm, soapy water to use as a container in your home.

  13. Do not ingest.

pillar candles

  1. Place the pillar candle on a heat resistant surface such as a candle pedestal or trivett.

  2. The first time you light a pillar candle burn it continuously until the wax melts to form a wall of approximately 1 cm around the candle. With a pillar candle this trains the wax to tunnel and leave the wall as a container.

  3. Before lighting the candle again trim by removing the bent, burnt, brittle part of the wick. The remaining part of the wick will be appropriately trimmed and ready to go.

  4. Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

  5. Do not burn beyond the last 2 cm of the candle.

  6. Do not move a lighted candle.

  7. Keep away from children, pets & drafts.

  8. Please read the warning label on the underside of the candle before using.

  9. If you spill the wax, let it set and then lift it off. You can wash with warm water and a little dish washing liquid.

  10. Extreme environmental temperatures may cause melting

  11. Do not ingest.

reed diffusers

  1. Your reed diffuser comes in a glass bottle with a silicone bung and a decorative lid. It also comes with a bundle of bamboo reeds.

  2. Remove all items from the packaging.

  3. Unscrew the decorative lid and carefully remove the bung from the top of the jar.

  4. Replace the lid (but not the bung).

  5. Insert the reeds into the neck of the bottle through the decorative lid.

  6. Place the reed diffuser on a level surface away from drafts, children and pets.

  7. Our reed diffusers are made with vegetable carrier oil and bamboo reeds. They do not include alcohol or additives. Our  reeds will only need turning when you want a fragrance boost.

  1. Place the cement jar on a heat resistant surface before lighting.

  1. Place the tin on a heat resistant, level surface before lighting.
