Mosquito Season Is Here

According to the ABC (21/11/21) a 'Mosquito explosion' is predicted after our wet spring. Most of us have noticed the numbers picking up already and, if you are anything like us, the last thing you want to do is spray chemicals on your skin. We've been researching this problem for years and have tried everything from wrist bands to patches to strange little devices that send out anti-mozzie signals!!

The American CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) has a list of the most effective ingredients for insect repellents . Many of them (such as Deet and IR3535) look a bit scary but we were so thrilled to see a native Australian on the list - Lemon Eucalyptus (Lemon Scented Gum)

We have had a run on our Lemon Scented candles already this year but we still have our large, triple wicked tins, and jar candles available. If you haven't tried them already you should this summer.

We hope that your Christmas preparations are going well and that you have a safe, healthy and mozzie-free holiday season.

Delivery windows are closing for pre-Christmas orders, though we are currently experiencing good delivery times to Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane. We are still racing out orders to get our products to you in record time. For those of you living within the Hunter and Central Coast regions, or visitors, you can visit our Candle Cellar Door in Morpeth every day between 10am and 3pm until Christmas. We are always available for for Click & Collect.

Alternatively, we have around 200 stockists throughout Australia (Thursday Island to King Island, Bowraville to Perth) who are stocking our Christmas range. Contact us by our Chat Line or by email (info@uainecandles.com) with your location and we will let you know the nearest stockist to you.
